We all have our favorite film adaptations from the famous Harry Potter to the much more painful Twilight Saga. Other then the million or billion fans under the age of 13 cheering for the "teams" of either Jacob or Edward How manyof us take the time to read a novel before seeing the movie version? Its completely understandable to want to watch a movie simply because of the previews with the loud "intense" music and the flashing from scene to scene but how much of the story line are you really missing? In my absolute bitter yet slightly hypocritcal opinion its a waste to see a movie that has been adapted from a "best selling" novel (I use the quotation marks simply because America seems to have the best movie of the summer or whatever season it is almost every two weeks lets stop giving them so much credit we all know we have seen better) Moving on! but really we are influenced by falshy media to avoid reading the novel I wonder if advertising the novel with the same intensity as they do with movies would draw in a larger market( just try and picture that? With a book like Lord of the Flies Ye intense right? )
Just consider this next time you go in to watch a movie and you know there is a book you probably should of read you'll remember this blog and then laugh and enjoy your movie.
