My Future

I hope to see myself in gold and purple cheering for the hawks... Well that sounds a but insane let me elaborate.I'm currently a grade 12 student applying for University, and the university I would like to go to is Wilfrid Laurier ( school colors: purple and gold. school mascot: Golden Hawk or just the Hawks)

Golden Hawk

Laurier has been my dream university for along time and the reason being its criminology program. Criminology is what I hope to be doing 15 years from now,but it will require various steps and hard work. In that time I hope that I will be able to decide if I want to have a family or not and just live with ten cats seven of which I will call by the same name.

I hope I still have my best friends with me. I know that your final year of high school determines who will be
with you and who was just a good friend at the time, but its always nice to hope.

I guess my final hope for my future is that I will always have someone to walk me down the aisle if I ever choose to be married.

.... If I were famous... HAHAHA!

I would not ever choose to be famous having no privacy and everything that comes along with fame just isn't for me. Now I'm not trying to be a hipster I simply enjoy my life as it is. I think wanting to become famous and truly having the ablility to stick through it is a talent. Having no fear or getting on stage or being on camera or even being recorded I believe it consists of someone who is truely brave in a sense.

I would not give up what I have to be famous while It sounds EXTREMELY cliche and I'm sure no one truly believes me when I say it but I enjoy my small room with my big bed, my close friends, and the boundary that keeps me from creeping Hayley Williams in person... If in a magical world I changed my mind I don't think I even would have a reason to be famous I can't act, sing or dance. But I guess I could always become famous on youtube... I think that's happened before?  Possibly start a scandle or get out of a car without the proper lady clothing on .. just some options...

"Where The Lines Overlap"

I would be lying if I said only one song felt like a theme song to me. I feel like multiple songs give me a sense of comfort. starting with most Paramore songs. "We are broken" is quite a depressing song but its a constant reminder of how much it took for my family to get where we are today.

On a less depressing note! Another song I like that has nothing to do with anything in my life but even the title gives you a chuckle. "Posioning Pigeons in the Park" By Tom Leher. My boyfriend introduced me to this song and I absolutly love it, it's an odd title for a song but the song itself is hilarious.  I guess you could say this song is just for the moments when I am feeling sad and it can cheer just about anyone up or just flat out insult them. Depends how you take it.

There are various songs that I can think of that make my day better or certain songs that apply to how I am feeling at the time but not  just one can really put my life into perspective I realize how cliche and/ or completely stupid that sounds but its true I don't feel there is just one song for one person. Each person has different characteristics I don't believe we can only cling to one song when we have so many choices.

We are not going to die..

Are we all going to die!?..No probably not just what I think though. BUT if I had one last day and of course not to be cliche I would say that I would spend it with my family and other loved ones no sense in going to the extereme I feel that we should cherish what we had all along and take that last bit of time to enjoy our last day together. I wouldn't work that day either but if the world exploded I am sure tim hortons would still be standing... which is a huge let down.

I don't have much to say for this topic so I will leave it at that.

YAY for Whoville!

Christmas is a GREAT holiday season! I enjoy it very much so I believe that I am more of a Who in spirit really, simply because as much as I would love to buy gifts for everyone, I can't always afford it (a Tims paycheck only goes so far).

Now, one thing that does bother me about this holiday is that people have the OH so important debate about saying Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. This is the most annoying topic ever! Let me start by saying that on this particular topic I might as well be the Grinch because I find that the "witty arguments" I hear from people are NOT so witty, sorry.

Say Merry Christmas, no one is stopping you. There is no need, absolutely NO! need to be rude or arrogant and post those completely irrelevant statuses on facebook . Just a quick thought, you may know someone who is of a different nationality and you may be close to them so don't mess that up by putting a completely ignorant post online. Be proud to be a Canadian, you have all the right. But let us be proud to say that we are Canadians too.The more you set us apart because of where we come from and our customs, the more we feel the need to feel at home. A Canadian Christmas should be about everyone being unified not torn apart because "he" says Merry Christmas and "she" says Happy Holidays. Respect us and we will respect you.

If this is your Canada, welcome us... I thought that is what your Christmas is about?

The Grinch is my favorite Christmas story because everyone realizes that it's a time to be together and it doesn't matter if you're from Mount Crumpit because you're always welcome in Whoville.

I would first like to say I can't write GOOD poetry to save my life I really believe that good poetry is a purely creative and artistic thing and I don't have either quality, However I do believe that poetry is beautiful regardless of the content. I simply believe this because all poetry is derived from deep thought or an event in your life that you couldn't quite express through physical actions. I would say Poetry and I have a love-hate relationship not that either of us hate eachother I mean we get along fairly well I enjoy reading poetry but writing is a different story.

After reading Amanda poetry I thoought it was nice but its not something I would read over again. Not to be rude at all its just not something that was all that memorable to me. Or it may be that I couldn't quite get into the poetry. It would not be my place to judge whether or not something is worth reading or not it is more of a case of reading it and finding out for yourself how you feel after reading Amanda Poetry - There is no doubt about her skill but maybe I'm just not her demographic.

Thanks for reading! :)
