YAY for Whoville!

Christmas is a GREAT holiday season! I enjoy it very much so I believe that I am more of a Who in spirit really, simply because as much as I would love to buy gifts for everyone, I can't always afford it (a Tims paycheck only goes so far).

Now, one thing that does bother me about this holiday is that people have the OH so important debate about saying Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. This is the most annoying topic ever! Let me start by saying that on this particular topic I might as well be the Grinch because I find that the "witty arguments" I hear from people are NOT so witty, sorry.

Say Merry Christmas, no one is stopping you. There is no need, absolutely NO! need to be rude or arrogant and post those completely irrelevant statuses on facebook . Just a quick thought, you may know someone who is of a different nationality and you may be close to them so don't mess that up by putting a completely ignorant post online. Be proud to be a Canadian, you have all the right. But let us be proud to say that we are Canadians too.The more you set us apart because of where we come from and our customs, the more we feel the need to feel at home. A Canadian Christmas should be about everyone being unified not torn apart because "he" says Merry Christmas and "she" says Happy Holidays. Respect us and we will respect you.

If this is your Canada, welcome us... I thought that is what your Christmas is about?

The Grinch is my favorite Christmas story because everyone realizes that it's a time to be together and it doesn't matter if you're from Mount Crumpit because you're always welcome in Whoville.

I would first like to say I can't write GOOD poetry to save my life I really believe that good poetry is a purely creative and artistic thing and I don't have either quality, However I do believe that poetry is beautiful regardless of the content. I simply believe this because all poetry is derived from deep thought or an event in your life that you couldn't quite express through physical actions. I would say Poetry and I have a love-hate relationship not that either of us hate eachother I mean we get along fairly well I enjoy reading poetry but writing is a different story.

After reading Amanda poetry I thoought it was nice but its not something I would read over again. Not to be rude at all its just not something that was all that memorable to me. Or it may be that I couldn't quite get into the poetry. It would not be my place to judge whether or not something is worth reading or not it is more of a case of reading it and finding out for yourself how you feel after reading Amanda Poetry - There is no doubt about her skill but maybe I'm just not her demographic.

Thanks for reading! :)

The Crack/Cocaine of Today.

Do you have a cellphone? is it a "smart phone" if you said yes there is a good chance you are a member of one or mulitple blog/ networking sites.

Do you constantly update your status with random and completely unnecessary facts? congrats your the majority.  Is it common for you to use Lawl or OMG in your regular speaking voice? if so Knock it off.. We have lost all sense using these sites as someone once told me about an hour ago (Mr.Berry).
We are consumed we no longer feel the need to communicate face to face its nothing but emotocons and  Rofl.. would you really role on the floor laughing in public?... okay now sober?

Yeah I realise your all saying "OMG its just an expression get over it"  I will get over it sooner or later but for now its upsetting to see us typing like pre-schoolers if you can't type out the full word "you" please don't use a smart phone it insults the name. That is all.

My Despicable Childhood.

My childhood memories are very vague and well I wasn't that great of a kid when I was younger. The few memories caught on video are the ones I can talk about. My first words were caught on video inspired by Daffy Duck of LooneyTunes he was always my favorite. Daffy always got the bad end of the deal but Hey! we can't all be Bugs Bunny otherwise what fun would it be? Alright back to my first words its seems so far off but my first words of english were " you are despicable" and I said this to my brother for no real reason it seems, but I guess Daffy has a way with words. My next memory is of my first injury I was a very active child so running around like a chicken with his head cut off was not odd at all for me. I learned quickly why being aware of your surroundings REALLY matters. I was 5 years old and like any younger sister I was avoiding my brothers because I really don't like being farted on its just not okay! As I was running away I forgot that on the next sharpe turn there was a large bookshelf I guess it slipped my mind running in terror. I ran right into that bookshelf and broke my nose, now I have the nice little bend in my nose to show for it. Its not to say that my childhood was insults and injury I had some of the typical childhood memories but I feel like it would be a bit like a cheesy story to run through all of those times. long story short I have great parents pretty decent siblings and a really cute puppy.

We all have our favorite film adaptations from the famous Harry Potter to the much more painful Twilight Saga. Other then the million or billion fans under the age of 13 cheering for the "teams" of either Jacob or Edward How manyof us take the time to read a novel before seeing the movie version? Its completely understandable to want to watch a movie simply because of the previews with the loud "intense" music and the flashing from scene to scene but how much of the story line are you really missing? In my absolute bitter yet slightly hypocritcal opinion its a waste to see a movie that has been adapted from a "best selling" novel (I use the quotation marks simply because America seems to have the best movie of the summer or whatever season it is almost every two weeks lets stop giving them so much credit we all know we have seen better) Moving on! but really we are influenced by falshy media to avoid reading the novel I wonder if advertising the novel with the same intensity as they do with movies would draw in a larger market( just try and picture that? With a book like Lord of the Flies Ye intense right? )
Just consider this next time you go in to watch a movie and you know there is a book you probably should of read you'll remember this blog and then laugh and enjoy your movie.
